    This is a very yummy potato bake that I always get requested to bring for Christmas or any other family get together. Best of all its really easy to make. You can really put pretty much anything between the layers, but I think an onion type flavour and a bacon type flavour taste best.

    This was given to me by a friend about 25 years ago. I have been making it ever since for family and friends. It is delicious with all sorts of foods, from cold meats to barbecues. It is best made with ripe outdoor tomatoes as they have more flavour and colour. Always bottle in clean sterilised jars with non-metallic lids.

    A great vegetarian dish that is reeaalllly filling...! It can take some time to cook as the liquid needs to absorb bit by bit, whilst stirring, to get the creamiest result without burning the bottom of the pan. I buy pre-sliced mushrooms to save on prep time.
