Chocolate Chippie Cookies

    30 minutes

I got this from a friend. Great recipe as can be bulk prepared in advance and pulled out of the freezer and cooked when needed. Not only that, but they are they best cookies I have ever tasted!

    6 people made this

    Serves: 12

    • 1 cup (155g) brown sugar
    • 200g butter
    • 1 cup (220g) white sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 3 cups (375g) flour
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 450g choc chips (I never use this much and they are just as good. But use big ones not the tiny ones)

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:5min  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Cream butter and sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla.
    2. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Slowly add dry ingredients to the butter mix then add choc chips.
    3. Make tablespoon sized balls, place on greased tray, put in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
    4. Take out as many as you want to cook and bake 10 – 15 mins at 200°C until golden brown.
    5. Keep extras in a sealed container/plastic bag until wanted.

These are very good! The only changes I made were: baking them in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 190 degrees C (after chilling the dough), and softening the butter before creaming. When I take them out of the oven, I let them cool on the pan for 5-10 minutes and then transfer them to a cooling rack. These cookies were soft, and delicious! A good basic recipe for chocolate chip cookies.  -  20 May 2013

It was great to use as a basic recipe because i wasn't quite sure on how to make cookie dough and it was very easy to modify.thanks!  -  03 Jan 2015  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
