This recipe is so easy to do but may sound a bit strange compared to other pavlova recipes. Decorate to your own tastes.

Serves: 6 

  • 4 egg whites
  • 3 cups (660g) caster sugar
  • 2 dessertspoons (1 tablespoon) cornflour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons (120ml) hot water

Preparation:35min  ›  Cook:1hour30min  ›  Ready in:2hours5min 

  1. Separate eggs and put egg whites into a bowl (dont get any egg yolks into whites.) Add rest of ingredients beat until they form peaks, this can take some time because of the water.
  2. Preheat oven to 130-150 degrees C. Grease an oven tray well, and sprinkle with water.
  3. Turn out mixture, onto tray do not flatten out as mixture tends to spread
  4. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes then turn oven off and leave until oven cooled. Decorate with cream and fruit
