Coat each fillet steak with the brown sugar making sure that the whole steak is covered . Place in air tight container and add bourbon until the steak and brown sugar is covered with the bourbon. Refrigerate/marinate for about 3-4 hours.
Cook steak in hot pan for about 3 minutes each side then put aside to rest. Heat small amount of Bourbon and Sugar mixture until hot and thick plate steak and pour the heated bourbon over the steak.
Hubby did this for dinner last night and it was just delicious. Very sweet, so I'd advise reducing the sugar according to taste, but other than that we were very impressed. So simple. Hubby has been looking for the perfect marinade for ribs, he thinks this may be it.
