A blended version of iced chocolate. This indulgent drink uses chocolate pieces as well as instant hot chocolate powder.

    Serves: 2

    • 160g of your favorite chocolate
    • 2 teaspoons of hot chocolate mix
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups milk
    • 3 cups of ice
    • whipped cream and chocolate shavings to decorate

    1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
    2. In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri.
    3. Pour into big glasses and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Delicious, but if it's not creamy enough just add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream - 19 Jan 2012

I used milo as the hot chocolate mix and I added a couple of spoons of plain ice cream! This was the best I had ever tasted! Just beautiful! - 18 Mar 2014
