Rum Flambée Bananas

    This simple, delicious dessert is perfect for using up those over-ripe bananas I always seem to have! Also goes great on pancakes.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 bananas
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • splash of rum

    Preparation:1min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:6min 

    1. Slice bananas in half and then lengthwise.
    2. Add butter to hot frypan and saute bananas.
    3. Sprinkle sugar over the bananas and cook until bottom of bananas are browned. Turn over and continue cooking.
    4. Pour splash of rum over bananas and shake the frypan while it's still on the heat. Simmer for one minute.
    5. Serve with yoghurt or ice-cream.
