Spicy dark ribs!

Serves: 4 

  • 500g pork spare ribs
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) worchestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons green or red tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 cup (125ml) golden syrup
  • 1 red capsicum, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C. Cover a roasting pan with aluminum foil. Place the ribs into the prepared pan.
  2. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, turn, and cook 10 minutes more. Remove from oven, and drain off fat.
  3. Meanwhile, mix together the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and golden syrup in a bowl. Drizzle sauce over the ribs.
  4. Return ribs to oven and bake 30 minutes more. Remove from oven, and spread the capsicum and onions over the ribs.
  5. Return ribs to oven and bake 10 minutes more.
