Orange, Almond and Chocolate Chip Biscuits

This recipe will produce a morish biscuit the whole family will love. You can create your own favourites by adding your own tasty fillings.


Serves: 36 

  • 250g butter, diced
  • 2 cups (500g) caster sugar
  • 6 cups (750g) self raising flour
  • 3 eggs
  • vanilla essence
  • 100g slivered almonds
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 1 orange rind

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line 3 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Put butter in a bowl and add caster sugar then beat with electric mixer until pale and creamy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla essence then beat until well combined.
  4. Add sifted self raising flour and mix with a spatula until well combined.
  5. Divide mixture into 3 bowls.
  6. Add almonds to one, chocolate chips to second and orange rind to the third.
  7. Combine each mixture until it comes together. Roll each into a cylinder and chill for 10 minutes.
  8. Cut each cylinder into rounds then lay out on the prepared trays and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven let cool.
