Orange Thick Shake

    The perfect cool drink for a hot summer. This cool, creamy orange juice drink will be a hit with everyone; adults and kids.

    Serves: 2 

    • 185ml frozen concentrated orange juice
    • 1 cup (250ml) low fat milk
    • 1 cup (250ml) water
    • 1/4 cup (50g) icing sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 2 tablespoons coconut powder, optional
    • 8 ice cubes

    Preparation:15min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Pour all ingredients into a blender except ice cubes.
    2. Blend adding one ice cube at a time until smooth.
    3. As a special treat for the kids try using vanilla ice cream instead of milk.

    This is pretty good for using OJ concentrate. I didn't have coconut powder, so I used about 1/2 tsp of coconut extract. The coconut partners well with the OJ flavor, but be careful, because if you add too much coconut, it will easily overpower the orange flavor.  -  09 May 2013
