Cooked apples with a coconut crumble topping. You can substitute a large tin of apples to reduce cooking time and fuss. This is best eaten straight out of the oven while hot with ice-cream, cream, custard or all three!!!

Serves: 5

  • 6 large granny smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped in chunks
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) water
  • Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup (85g) coconut

This was a very quick recipe to make especially when you use tinned apples. The crumble was very nice with custard. To spice it up I added a couple of teaspoons of mixed spiced. - 20 Oct 2012
