Bacon Water Chestnuts

Rumaki is a Hawaiian entree made of water chestnuts that are marinated in teriyaki sauce then wrapped in streaky bacon then baked until crispy and delicious.
2 (220g) tins whole water chestnuts
450ml teriyaki sauce
450g streaky bacon

- Drain chestnuts then place them in a bowl. Cover chestnuts with teriyaki sauce then marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or more.
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
- Remove water chestnuts from refrigerator and drain well. Cut bacon strips in half so that strips are about 8cm long. Wrap each chestnut with bacon then secure with a toothpick.
- Arrange all wrapped chestnuts on a baking tray. Cook in oven until bacon is crispy. Remove from oven and enjoy.
