Scallops Wrapped in Bacon

    It sounds simple, but wait for the taste! Scallops that are wrapped in bacon will be a favourite. Make sure you make enough to go around!

    Serves: 4 

    • 6 bacon rashers
    • 12 scallops, rinsed and drained
    • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Cut the bacon rashers in half and wrap each half around a scallop. Use a toothpick to keep in place.
    3. Drizzle lemon juice over scallops. Place on a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve warm.

    I loved this recipe! I like my bacon pretty crispy though, so I microwaved it slightly before baking it with the scallops.  -  31 Oct 2001  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)


    Some people don't mind less than crispy bacon but I prefer it fully cooked so I took other reviewers suggestions and cooked it for a bit in the microwave before wrapping the scallops.
