Banana Smoothie Milkshake

    A yummy banana smoothie made with milk and ice cream. Well the ice cream is optional but I will often make this for dessert so that excuses it!:-)

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 1 banana
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamin
    • 1 cup (250ml) cold milk
    • 1 scoop vanilla icecream (optional)

    Directions
    Preparation:5min  ›  Ready in:5min 

    1. Chop up banana and then place all ingredients in a blender including banana and blend for 1 minute.
    2. Serve in a chilled glass.

    I thought that this was a great recipe. I eliminated the egg and replaced the wheat germ with flaxseed meal due to having a wheat allergy. All in all it's a nice quick smoothie to throw together quickly in the morning.  -  17 Apr 2008  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
