    A great snack or appetiser made of pita strips, cream cheese and bacon strips. I guarantee you they will not last long!

    Serves: 32 

    • 16 bacon rashers, cut in half
    • 200g cream cheese
    • 1 packet pita bread

    Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat the grill.
    2. Open the pitas and spread generously with cream cheese on the inside.
    3. Replace tops, and use a pizza cutter to slice them into into 2 1/2 cm wide strips. Cut the long strips in half. Roll up each piece and wrap with half of a strip of bacon. Secure with toothpicks.
    4. Grill for 10 minutes in the preheated oven or until the bacon is cooked through. Remove them to a bowl or platter lined with a napkin or paper towels. Remove toothpicks before serving.

    Altered ingredient amounts. nothing for now just about to try them as they say. - 21 Aug 2010


    I made these for a work meeting and they were completely devoured within minutes. However, they did take me just over an hour not 40 minutes to make. I'm sure the next time I make it I will be faster. I also added salt and pepper into the cream cheese for more flavour. - 16 Jun 2013
