Jazz up your French toast batter with apple puree for extra sweetness. A great idea for a special breakfast.

Serves: 6 

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup low fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 4 tablespoons apple purée or apple sauce
  • 6 slices bread

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cinnamon, sugar and apple purée; mix well.
  2. Soak the bread one slice at a time in the milk mixture.
  3. Fry in a lightly buttered frying pan over medium to high heat until lightly browned on both sides. Serve hot with syrup or honey.
