Homemade hummus is easy to make and better tasting than most store bought ones. You can also add a little tahini.

I didn't have plain yogurt, corriander or paprika in the house, so used cooking water from cooking the chickpeas to thin mix. Used cumin, caynnne, basil, parsey and mint to spice the mix. My son-in-law likes his hummus with texture so I reserved some of the chickpeas and mashed roughly with a fork and added to blended hummus and liked the result. - 27 Jul 2011
