Pork and apples are a natural combination. This recipe is very easy and good served with roasted or baked potatoes and salad.
I thought the flavor was nice, mild, but complimented the pork well. Ours came out fairly dry though. - 16 May 2013
Used different ingredients. I will try the above it looks lovely. Here's a similar recipe that involves very little prep, I did it last night after coming in from work and let it cook while I got showered and changed! Pre-heat the oven at 210 or 190 (fan)Bring unsalted potatoes to the boil, add some salt and sprinkle with flour, put the pan lid on and give a shake rigorously for a few seconds, put a good 4 tablespoons of veg oil with 2 tablespoons of Worcester sauce, a pinch of dried thyme and seasoning in a large roasting tray, heat in the oven for about 1 minute then add the spuds and roast on the top shelf of the oven for about 40-50 mins. Mix 2 tablespoons of value apple sauce mixed with one tablespoon of runny honey, an inch squirt of garlic puree, 3 tablespoons of dak soy sauce and seasoned with black pepper. Place all ingredients over the chops in a casserole dish and roast covered in the lowest shelf of the oven for 30-40mins (after half the cooking time remove the lid or foil). once cooked remove from the above and turn it up to the max to give the spuds a final crisp up if needed. Serve with steamed veg, peas and apple sauce. Times and quantities of the ingredients can be varied to taste. - 26 Feb 2009 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
Used different ingredients. If you like this try melting some cheese on top of the apple sauce. - 11 Jun 2011 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
