Easy Kids' Cupcakes

    Simple recipe that you can do with kids. Basic sponge bottom with chocolate and sweets on top. For younger kids bake the cakes yourself and then get them to decorate them. For adults put nicer decorations on the top!

    Serves: 24 

    • 185g self raising flour
    • 185g butter
    • 3 eggs
    • 185g sugar
    • 200g chocolate
    • lollies to decorate the tops(Smarties, snakes etc)

    1. Pre -heat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until smooth between each addition.
    3. Sieve flour and mix gradually add into mix.
    4. Using tea spoons place mix in patty cups or grease muffin tins and place the mixture in the muffin cups.
    5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and skewer comes out clean.
    6. To decorate; melt chocolate -either in the microwave or in a bowl over simmering water. When melted drizzle the chocolate over the top and decorate with lollies.
    7. Leave to set. Enjoy!
