Creamy Sausage Pasta

    When you need a rich and satisfying pasta this is the recipe for you. Sausage mince is fried with red capsicums and simmered with cream.

    Serves: 6 

    • 400g sausage mince
    • 2 red capsicums, thinly sliced
    • 3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 3 spring onions, sliced
    • 1 teaspoon oil
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 500ml thickened cream
    • penne pasta

    1. Fry sausage in a large deep frying pan over medium heat until brown, breaking it up as you stir. Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente.
    2. Remove the browned sausage from the pan, drain off most of the fat, then fry the garlic and capsicums until softened, about 5 minutes.
    3. Return the sausage to the pan and add cream. Bring to a boil over med heat, then mix in the drained pasta. Serve garnished with parmesan cheese.
