Crunchy Butter Biscuits

    You can tailor these delicious biscuits to suit with nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips, etc. They are great for a snack, or school fetes.

    Serves: 12 

    • 1 teaspoon golden syrup
    • 1 3/4 cups (220g) self-raising flour
    • 1 cup (185g) demerara sugar
    • 150 grams softened butter
    • 2/3 cup (90g) rolled oats

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180C.
    2. Sift the flour and mix with the oats, add sugar, then bit by bit knead in the butter and golden syrup.
    3. Form small 3cm balls and flatten on a baking tray. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
