Basic Chocolate Cupcake Recipe

    This recipe is about as simple as it gets, and the results are delicious. You can adapt this basic recipe to be more complex with icing, nuts, etc.

    Serves: 20 

    • 8 heaped tablespoons self-raising flour
    • 8 heaped tablespoons sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 100g margarine
    • 2 heaped tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 2 teaspoons milk

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
    2. Put the flour, sugar and margarine in a bowl and mix. Add the eggs and mix in well.
    3. Add the milk and cocoa powder and mix. Divide the mixture into the cups of a cupcake tray. Put in the preheated oven and cook ten minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in a cupcake comes out clean.
