Salmon with garlic ginger butter

    This salmon recipe is so quick and easy to make it has become one of our regular dishes. We often make extra sauce to pour over new baby potatoes and vegetables.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 salmon fillets
    • 90g butter
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 1 (2cm piece) fresh ginger, finely chopped or grated
    • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

    1. Preheat the grill. Place the salmon straight under the grill or in a tray under the grill. Grill the salmon until cooked according to taste, about 4 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
    2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat the butter, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar and lemon juice over a low heat.
    3. Pour garlic ginger butter over the cooked salmon and serve.

    Used different ingredients. I made the recipe as stated but I left out the lemon juice. I'm not typically a lemon fan (and I forgot it when I ran to the grocery store). The recipe was WONDERFUL! You are right, you want more of the sauce to go on veggies or in my case a bed of rice that I put the salmon on! This will surely become a household fav.  -  17 Oct 2010
