Preheat the grill. Place the salmon straight under the grill or in a tray under the grill. Grill the salmon until cooked according to taste, about 4 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat the butter, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar and lemon juice over a low heat.
Pour garlic ginger butter over the cooked salmon and serve.

I made the recipe as stated but I left out the lemon juice. I'm not typically a lemon fan (and I forgot it when I ran to the grocery store). The recipe was WONDERFUL! You are right, you want more of the sauce to go on veggies or in my case a bed of rice that I put the salmon on! This will surely become a household fav. - 17 Oct 2010
