Three Ingredient Sponge Cake
The easiest sponge cake you will ever make - only three ingredients and a few minute preparation time.
Ingredients
Serves: 4
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup (125g) caster sugar
- 3/4 cup (90g) self-raising flour

- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C. Grease a 20 or 23 cm round cake tin.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and caster sugar until light and creamy in colour. Fold in flour. Pour into the prepared cake tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top of the cake springs back when lightly pressed. Cool in the tin over a wire rack.

Used different ingredients. I used raw sugar instead of caster, added drinking chocolate, vanilla malt and extract & golden syrup. i added honey lemon icing.. icing sugar, water, lemon honey. mix together and add when cake has cooled - 15 Oct 2009
