The refreshing mix of fruit, soft drink, red wine and brandy make Sangria a refreshing and mellow summer punch. You can use lemonade, soda water or ginger ale as the soft drink.
This recipe is amazing! I doubled the recipe, but kept the fruit in the same amount & it was the perfect ratio. I feel like if there was less liquid (as called for in the original quantity of the recipe), it would be too chunky & perhaps difficult to drink. The flavor of this was just right! Yum! **Also, just a little tip for anyone who hasn't thought of it: Instead of adding the soda into the pitcher, I just topped off each glass with a splash of it as I served them, so the soda wouldn't go flat throughout the evening! This worked great!** - 07 Jul 2007 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
The real deal! Delicious. Took this to a party and it was gone in minutes. Try adding a little sugar if the red wine is too dry. - 20 Jul 2006 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
I made a triple batch of this sangria and thought maybe I had made too much but by the end of the evening it was gone and people were asking for more. At first it was too tart so I added a bit of sugar and that smoothed it right out. Yummy. - 04 Sep 2006 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
