Only four ingredients and minutes to prepare, this delicious trifle recipe is perfect for a quick dessert or a busy holiday like Christmas. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Ingredients
Serves: 6 

  • 1 jam filled Swiss roll
  • 1 (310g) tin mardarin segments in juice
  • 2 cups (500ml) custard
  • whipped cream, optional

Directions
Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Cut Swiss roll into 8 slices. Arrange four slices on the bottom of a serving dish. Strain the mandarins and reserve the juice.
  2. Drizzle half the juice over the Swiss roll in the serving dish, then top with half the mandarins. Pour over 1 cup of the custard.
  3. Repeat with another layer of Swiss roll, juice and mandarin segments. Store in the refrigerator and top with whipped cream just before serving (optional).
