Chicken Tikka Pieces

    If you cut the chicken into 3cm (ish) cubes this makes great party finger food. Serve with a chutney style dip.

    Serves: 8 

    • 450g chicken, cubed
    • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
    • 1 teaspoon garlic
    • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • salt to taste
    • 150 ml plain yoghurt
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 2 tablespooons chopped fresh coriander
    • 1 tablespoon oil

    1. In a medium bowl mix together the chicken pieces with ginger,garlic, chilli, turmeric, salt, yoghurt, lemon juice and coriander, and marinate for 2 hours.
    2. When ready to cook, preheat the grill to medium. Line a shallow baking tray with foil and grease with the oil
    3. PLace the chicken in the tray and grill for 15 to 20 munites or until cooked, turning and basting 2-3 times.

    Delicious recipe and simple to follow. I added finely chopped fresh chilli for more spice and it was lovely. I would suggest roughly 200g of yogurt for this recipe and put on top shelf of grill, depending on your oven you will need to cook for longer than the recipe suggested as mine took an hour, ensure its charred both sides so it's cooked through but not dry, overall really good flavour, many thanks!  -  07 May 2016  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
