Irish coffee is back! I had forgotten how good this tastes till I made this the other night on a whim. We had it in glass mugs and my sister added some sugar to hers but I was fine without it.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1

    • 30ml (1 nip) Irish cream liqueur
    • 30ml (1 nip) Irish whiskey
    • 250ml (1 cup) hot brewed coffee
    • Whipped cream and ground nutmeg for topping

    Directions
    Preparation:2min  ›  Ready in:2min

    1. Combine Irish cream and Irish whiskey in a small jug then pour into individual mugs. Fill mug with coffee. Top with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.

I served this with my traditional irish desserts. I also used Kahlua instead of the Irish cream and it was a big hit. Perfect for a chilly night! Enjoyed by all, especially the grandparents!  -  18 Mar 2003  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

This is such a perfect winter after-dinner drink. It works well in hot chocolate, too.  -  04 Dec 2002  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I felt wicked drinking this on a Sunday afternoon but it went great as an after-dinner drink after a large sunday lunch w/ family. If you sprinkle the nutmeg just so over the whip cream, it looks really pretty and it goes down really well!  -  13 Apr 2003  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
