A very traditional English cottage pie with beef, onions, carrots, potatoes and seasonings. Best served with fresh green peas.

Used different ingredients. Had no tomato paste so I used tomato sauce and thickened it with just a touch of flour. Didn't appear to alter the taste - 11 Sep 2009
