Cheese Pastries

    These cheese pastries use just four ingredients which makes them quick and easy and a great way to get the kids involved in cooking. Using pizza cheese gives you three kinds of cheese in the one ingredient! These pastries make a perfect snack or kids party food.

    Makes: 24 pastries

    • 125g fetta cheese, crumbed
    • 1 cup grated pizza cheese
    • 2 eggs, beaten lightly
    • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry sheets, just thawed

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.
    2. Combine cheeses and half the egg in a medium bowl.
    3. Cut 24 x 8 cm rounds from pastry. Drop rounded teaspoons of filling onto rounds; brush edges with a little water. Fold rounds in half, press edges together with a fork to seal.
    4. Place pastries on prepared trays. Brush with remaining egg. Bake for 15 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden. Serve.
