Chocolate Nut Hearts

    Good quality dark chocolate is sprinkled with almonds, pistachios and dried cranberries and cut into heart shapes to make the perfect edible gift for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day.

    Makes: 12 chocolates

    • 125g good quality dark chocolate, chopped
    • 2 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds
    • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachio kernels
    • 2 tablespoons chopped dried cranberries

    1. Melt chocolate in microwave on HIGH (100%) for 40-50 sec, stirring every 10 sec. Line a large tray with baking paper. Pour the chocolate onto prepared tray. Spread the chocolate until 2mm thick.
    2. Sprinkle chocolate with nuts and cranberry. Stand for 20 minutes or until just set. Using a 4cm heart-shaped cutter, cut 12 hearts from the chocolate.
