Use 4 tablespoons of natural yoghurt instead of buttermilk if desired.
KFC's coleslaw is the only slaw I will eat, so I was so happy to find this recipe. But I did make a few changes - I cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup and left out the buttermilk (I don't like it, so I don't buy it!). I also used cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. This was great! I hate buying a carton of buttermilk for recipes that call for 1/4 cup, so I made a substitute using regular milk & lemon juice. I also used pre-shredded cole slaw mix & let the salad marinate overnight. The recipe I have been searching for for years! Delicious! Because of the comments of others, I was going to cut back on the milk, and I ended up forgetting to add it entirely!
