    • 500 grams beef mince*
    • 250 grams bacon, cooked and diced
    • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
    • 1 tbsp onion flakes
    • tomato sauce
    • american mustard
    • dumpling wrappers

    1. Re hydrate the onion flakes by mixing equal amounts of water to onions, let sit for 15 minutes. Drain off any excess water*
    2. Thoroughly combine beef mince, bacon, and cheese in a mixing bowl using your hands.
    3. Place down a dumpling wrapper and place a dollop of the mixture into the center. Wet the edges then place another wrapper over the top remove all the air and seal the edges.
    4. Place the dumplings in a single layer into a bamboo steamer, place over boiling water and let steam for 5 minutes.
    5. When ready remove from the heat, squirt over some tomato sauce and mustard, place down three slices of thinly sliced pickle and a little sprinkling of onion. Serve warm

    * Use beef mince that has a little fat, like 70% - 30% otherwise the dumplings will be dry. *Save and use the excess water off the onions to flavour things like stock.
