Flourless Peanut Butter Brownies

    Gluten-free and refined sugar-free, these brownies are a real winner for those who want to eat healthier. Recently, my brother said, "I don't like gluten-free stuff, but you somehow make it taste good!" That is an incredible validation coming from him, but honestly, it's hard to go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter! Maybe that's why I have so many things with peanut butter on my blog...

    • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter + 2 tbsp separate
    • 1/4 cup honey + 2 tbsp separate
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1 egg
    • (Optional:) tbsp of mini chocolate chips for sprinkling


    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Mix the egg, peanut butter, honey, and applesauce together; then incorporate the rest of the ingredients until well-combined.
    3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×9 pan.
    4. Pour the batter into a greased 9×9 pan.
    5. Drop the filling by the spoonful into the batter and swirl with a knife.
    6. If desired, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the brownie.
    7. Bake for 25 minutes.
    8. Let cool, and serve warm or chilled.
