Place an apple in the centre of a large piece of foil. Spoon 1 tablespoon apricots, 1 tablespoon raisins, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 knob of butter into the core. Wrap tightly in the foil. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Place apples directly onto hot charcoal. Carefully add some hot coals over the top of each apple. Cook for 30 minutes, or till apples are soft.
Remove apples from the heat and let cool. Serve and enjoy as they are, or with cream, custard or ice cream.
