Dark Chocolate and Orange Cake

    This is a delicious quick bread method for an aromatic dark chocolate and orange cake. It's simple to make and the base recipe can be revised for different variations and flavors.

    • 1 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
    • 3/4 Cup Sugar
    • 1/4 Cup Butter - melted
    • 2 Eggs
    • 3/4 Cup Milk
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
    • Zest of One Orange
    • 1/2 TSP Sea Salt
    • 2 TBSP Baking Powder
    • Dark Chocolate Chips


    1. Combine Eggs, butter, sugar, milk, vanilla orange zest and salt in a large mixing bowl.
    2. Sift and fold in cocoa, flour and baking powder until combined.
    3. Add Desired amount of Chocolate chips or chocolate chunks.
    4. Pour cake batter into a parchment lined loaf pan.
    5. Bake at 180C/350F for about 30 minutes.
    6. Let cool completely before removing from pan.
