Banana Pineapple Green Blend

    This quick and easy green smoothie with pineapple makes a great snack. Perfect drink for a hot summer day.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 1 cup vanilla soy milk
    • 1/2 cup baby spinach leaves
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 cup sliced frozen banana
    • 1/2 cup chopped frozen pineapple

    Directions

    1. Blend soy milk and spinach together in a blender until spinach is pureed. Add water, banana and pineapple, then blend until smooth.

    This was a nice way to start the morning. I used skim milk rather than soy as that is what I had on hand. The banana and pineapple added a nice sweetness to the smoothie without the banana overpowering the flavor.  -  21 Jun 2014  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

    As the submitter suggested, I subbed a different liquid-almond milk, and this smoothie came out quite good. I even used frozen spinach and the smoothie turned out ice cold, which I like.
