This is the healthiest idea I have found for Halloween, get everyone eating fruit while keeping the Halloween spirit.

Serves: 12

  • Mandarin Pumpkins
  • 6 mandarins
  • 1 stick of celery
  • Kiwi Fruit Frankenstein Heads
  • 6 kiwi fruit
  • 12 tiny teddies
  • Banana Ghosts
  • 6 bananas
  • 12 large chocolate chips
  • 24 small chocolate chips
  • Grape Worms
  • 1 bunch red grapes
  • 1 bunch green grapes
  • 6 skewers
  • chocolate icing, as required

Preparation:30min  ›  Ready in:30min

  1. Mandarin Pumpkins: Carefully peal the mandarin keeping it whole. Slice the celery into small sticks, then add as a stalk.
  2. Kiwi Fruit Frankenstein Heads Peal the kiwi fruit in a manner that leaves hair, eyes and a mouth as found on Frankenstein. Use the tiny teddies to create eyes on the side of the head.
  3. Banana Ghosts: Peal and half the bananas. Stand up on the cut side. Add the large chocolate chips to look like mouths and the small chocolate chips to look like eyes.
  4. Grape Worms: Remove the grapes from their stalks, then wash and dry. Thread the grapes onto the skewers in any fashion or pattern to make the worms. Use the chocolate icing to draw the worms faces.
  5. To Serve: Arrange the fruit characters on a platter or multiple platters with additional fruit or treats.
