This is a popular coastal appetizer dish in Brazil, often served at ocean side bars. Typically, it is served in crab shells or ramekins that imitate a crab shell. Here, you can use any small ramekin of choice.
Makes: 6 units
500 g soft crab meat
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oli
2 cloves garlic, diced
1 small onion, diced
1/2 bunch coriander, chopped
1/2 bunch spring onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, blended
4 tablespoons coconut milk
salt and pepper, to taste
2 lime wedges, for garnish

Sauteed the garlic and onion in olive oil over low heat until soft. Add crab meat, coriander, green onions, tomatoes and coconut milk then simmer for 15 minutes or until the liquid reduces down (without drying out). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Divide mix into small ramekins (shallow ones are good too) or use the and serve hot with a lime wedge on the side.
