Chicken and Mushroom Sausage Rolls

My recipe, my way. How I like it. Cooked to my taste. These are a great chicken and mushroom sausage roll.

Serves: 4 

  • 3 tablespoons pure sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 500g chicken mince
  • 1 small or medium onoin, finely diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoons oregano, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 large carrot, grated finely
  • 1 1/2 cups of breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 4 tablespoons creamy chicken mushroom sauce
  • 3 tablespoons creamy mayonnaise
  • puff pastry
  • butter, for brushing pastry

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Gently grease a baking tray.
  2. Add to a frying pan pure sesame oil, extra virgin olive oil, chicken, onions, mushrooms, garlic, oregano, parsley, ginger, salt and pepper. Cook gently.
  3. Mix all the remaining ingredients together, except the pastry and butter, in a saucepan.
  4. Take one roll of puff pastry and cut in half. Add to one edge the mixture from the saucepan then roll.
  5. Paint the roll with butter. Place in the preheated oven, then cook until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  6. Serve while still hot.
