    Do you know Doraemon, the Gadget Cat Robot from the Future? Doraemon is a character from Japanese classic comic series. He loves Dorayaki. Dorayaki is a simple sweet. Two small pancake-like sponge wrapped a filling of sweet Azuki red bean paste. It is easy to make at home.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 batch

    • Pancake
    • 1 cup self raising flour
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • about 1/2 cup water
    • To Assemble
    • Tsubu-an (sweet red bean paste)

    1. Pancake: Make thin pancakes with least possible oil. Non stick pan is recommended as you need no oil. This pancake recipe is specially for Dorayaki. Because of the larger amount of sugar, it would be easy to burn quickly. Please cook on medium to low heat.
    2. Combine the flour, eggs and sugar then whisk well, add more water if requiredto get the desired consistency. Cook a non-stick frying pan.
    3. To Assemble: Sandwich 1 to 2 tablespoons of Tsubu-an (sweet red bean paste) between two pancakes.

    Tsubu-an (Sweet Red Bean Paste) can be made at home, or you can buy ready to go.
