Succulent lamb cubes in a silky smooth sauce that has quite a kick. And only 284 calories per serve.

    • 250g lamb, cubed
    • Olive oil or bran oil spray
    • 1 cup beef stock
    • 2 tsp tamarind paste
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • ½ tsp ground black pepper
    • 1 tbsp raw sugar
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 3 tbsp water


    1. Heat wok or saucepan to hot and spray lightly with olive oil or bran oil.
    2. Add lamb cubes and cook for 1 minutes, turning cubes to seal on all sides.
    3. Reduce heat to medium and cook for a further 4 minutes.
    4. Add remaining ingredients except cornflour and water, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    5. Dissolve cornflour in water and add to pan with meat and sauce. Cook for 1 minute, stirring regularly.
