I got this recipe off of one of my favourite blogs and tweaked it a bit, adding fresh and dried herbs and a few different ingredients. This is a great recipe for anyone who loves sardines, and for those who think they don't! Serve on crackers or toast.


Serves: 2 

  • 1 tin sardines in olive oil, drained
  • 2 tablespoons capers, chopped
  • 1 roasted red capsicum, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or parsley
  • 1 spring onion, sliced
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons natural yoghurt
  • 1 generous pinch dried Greek oregano
  • salt and black pepper, to taste

  1. Place the sardines in a bowl and roughly mash with a fork. Add in all of the remaining ingredients and stir well.
