Chocolate Sauce Cakes

    Somewhere between a mini chocolate cake and a chocolate pudding, these are the perfect end to a dinner party.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 4 individual cakes

    • 125g good quality dark chocolate, diced
    • 100g butter, diced, plus extra for greasing
    • 4 eggs
    • 145g icing sugar
    • 50g flour

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees C and butter 4 small ramekins or molds.
    2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or the microwave, stirring frequently.
    3. Once melted, add the diced butter. Mix well until smooth.
    4. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the chocolate and mix well. Add sifted flour and mix again until smooth.
    5. Pour the mixture into the ramekins and bake 10 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes then serve warm.
