An easy to make cake that is really delicious. The cream softens the taste of the chocolate a little.


Makes: 1 cake

  • 4 eggs
  • pinch salt
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 200g chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 125g flour
  • 1 cup (250ml) cream

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and butter and flour a cake tin.
  2. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and then beat in the sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, break up the chocolate, add the water and melt 2 minutes in the microwave.
  4. Add the chocolate to the eggs and mix. Gradually stir in the flour, then the cream until batter is a smooth paste.
  5. Bake about 25 minutes - middle should remain slightly underdone.
