This is a Brazilian steamed chocolate dessert similar to pudding. Very rich and creamy, great for Easter or Christmas.


Serves: 8 

  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 200ml cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • icing sugar, for sprinkling
  • chocolate sprinkles, to garnish

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Extra time:4hours chilling  ›  Ready in:5hours20min 

  1. Combine all ingredients except icing sugar and sprinkles in a blender and beat until smooth.
  2. Dust a pudding mold with icing sugar and pour in the mixture. Simmer in a water bath 1 hour, or cook in the microwave 25 minutes on high.
  3. Unmold while still warm and garnish with chocolate sprinkles. Chill 4 hours before serving.
