Pumpkin Fries

    I had a lot of butternut pumpkin and decided to bake them as chips. They came out delicious, sweet and salty. You can add other spices, but you have to remember to salt them after removing from the oven, otherwise they come out soft and not crispy.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1/2 butternut pumpkin (or other)
    • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons oregano
    • salt, to taste
    • olive oil

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
    2. Wash, peel and seed the pumpkin. Cut the pumpkin into strips about 1/2 cm thick. (The chips will be thinner, it will bake faster and be more toasted.)
    3. Place the pumpkin fries on a large baking tray then sprinkled with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic and oregano, stir to pumpkin to distribute the olive oil and herbs.
    4. Bake for about 20 minutes. Stir once while cooking.
    5. Remove from the oven, season with salt and serve.
