Homemade marzipan is super easy to make and can be used in all kinds of confectionery recipes or just shaped and eaten by itself. A fun Christmas project.

Ingredients
Serves: 8
500g whole almonds, skinned
400g icing sugar
few drops almond essence
cold water, as needed
Directions Preparation:10min › Ready in:10min
Place the almonds, icing sugar and essence in a food processor and finely chop. Gradually add a little cold water until a paste is formed. Every now and then scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Wrap the marzipan in plastic wrap and keep cold until using.
