Here's an original and tasty side dish for your Christmas meal or any other occasion where you want something a bit special.


Serves: 6 

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 600g brown mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 600ml champagne or sparkling wine
  • chopped parsley, to garnish

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Heat the oil in a frypan and saute mushrooms with garlic, basil, salt and pepper for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Add champagne and simmer until wine has almost completely evaporated. Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed. Add the parsley and serve.
