Creamy Mustard Sauce

    This creamy mustard sauce made with creme fraiche and chicken stock is ideal with most meats but especially good with sausages.

    Serves: 4 

    • 25g butter
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 150ml chicken stock
    • 150ml creme fraiche
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Melt the butter in a hot frying pan. Add the onions and cook, stirring, until softened.
    2. Add the flour. Cook one more minute, stirring constantly.
    3. While stirring, gradually add the chicken stock. Bring to the boil to thicken slightly.
    4. Stir in the creme fraiche, mustard, salt and pepper to taste. Serve!
