Instead of peanuts you can use crushed walnuts, cashews, chestnuts... or a mixture! A lovely Christmas dessert.

Serves: 6
3 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter
400ml sour cream
1 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
1 1/2 packets vanilla wafers
milk, for dipping

With an electric mixer beat the egg yolks, sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Stir in peanuts (save a little for garnish) and sour cream then mix well.
Dip the wafers one at a time in the milk and line a baking dish with them. Cover with a layer of cream. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of cream.
Sprinkle with remaining peanuts. Refrigerate a few hours before serving.
